My name is Sureshbabu Kurra, MD, QME and I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) with over 30 years of experience in psychiatry and medical-legal evaluations. I am committed to providing compassionate, ethical, and expert psychiatric care, carefully considering each patient’s needs before recommending treatment.
I earned my medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India, completed my psychiatry residency at Kingsborough Psychiatric Center in Brooklyn, New York, and pursued a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey. Over the years, I have worked in hospitals, correctional facilities, and crisis stabilization units, serving as Medical Director at the Family Guidance Center of Warren County and Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Jersey.
Beyond my professional work, I stay engaged by reading medical journals, playing chess and badminton, and spending time with my family. I also give back by supporting children’s hospitals and volunteering at medical events. My passion lies in advocating for fair, unbiased mental health care and making a meaningful impact in the lives of my patients.
From medical school to becoming a board-certified psychiatrist, my career has been built on expertise, continuous learning, and a passion for mental health.
